1. PRESENTATION.

Department T.M.R. operating in the Faculty of Engineering and Management Systems provides training in science mechanisms for students following faculties: Engineering and Management Systems, Transportation, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, Materials Science and Engineering, Biotechnical Engineering Systems and Applied Sciences, studies master's and doctorate on the analysis, synthesis, modeling and control of intelligent mechanical systems.
Department of Theory of mechanisms and a robot is recognized by major scientific personalities, some of which include: prof.dr.doc.şt.ing. Nicolae Manolescu, corresponding member of the Romanian Academy, considered the founder of the School of the Romanian theory Mechanisms, prof.dr.doc.şt.ing. Christian Pelecudi, vice president IFToMM (International Federation for the Promotion of Science mechanisms and machinery) in the period 1975-1979, prof.dr.doc.şt.ing. Radu C. Bogdan, rector of the Transylvania University of Brasov in the period 1975-1979, Romania's ambassador to Japan, scientific director of the Center for solids mechanics of the Romanian Academy.
In recognition of the value of scientific School Romanian mechanisms whose promoters are the personalities mentioned above, IFToMM included in the management of its staff in the Department of Theory of mechanisms and machinery, and our colleagues from the University or other universities and awarded Department MRT organizing international symposium IFToMM - SYROM.
Basic research and application in science and mechanisms of Robotics has been promoted at the international level through international symposia IFToMM, SYROM which were conducted with the following issues: SYROM'73, SYROM'77, SYROM'81, SYROM'85, SYROM ' 89, SYROM'93, SYROM'97, SYROM'01 and SYROM'05.
Prof.dr.doc. Christian PELECUDI, scientific personality internationally recognized a fundamental education in the academic field of Robotics in Romania is appreciated in this respect by the entire academic community specialiate. As founder of Robotics in our country has designed plans for education, initiated courses in the field, has promoted the work of scientific research, including specialized contracts being the creator of the first collective research project titled MEROTEHNICA of Robotics and initiator of the first scientific seminar of Robots Industrial national symposia and the National and International Industrial Robots, which took the first edition in 1981.
Teachers in the department have participated and are included in the Executive Committee, committees and specialized committees of the Federation of International Mechanisms for Promoting Science and auto-IFToMM, some of them occupying positions of leadership within the IFToMM.

SCURTĂ PREZENTARE – LOCAŢIE – Date Contact

Catedra T.M.R. îşi desfăşoară activitatea în cadrul Facultăţii de Ingineria şi Managementul Sistemelor Tehnologice asigurând pregătirea în domeniul ştiinţei mecanismelor pentru studenţii următoarelor facultăţi: Ingineria şi Managementul Sistemelor Tehnologice, Transporturi, Inginerie Mecanică şi Mecatronică, Ştiinţa şi Ingineria Materialelor, Ingineria Sistemelor Biotehnice şi Ştiinţe Aplicate, studii de master şi doctorat privind analiza, sinteza, modelarea şi controlul sistemelor mecanice inteligente.

Catedra de Teoria Mecanismelor şi a Roboţilor este recunoscută prin mari personalităţi ştiinţifice, dintre care amintim: prof.dr.doc.şt.ing. Nicolae Manolescu, membru corespondent al Academiei Române, considerat fondatorul Şcolii româneşti de Teoria Mecanismelor, prof.dr.doc.şt.ing. Christian Pelecudi, vicepreşedinte IFToMM (Federaţia Internaţională pentru Promovarea Ştiinţei Mecanismelor şi a Maşinilor) în perioada 1975-1979, prof.dr.doc.şt.ing. Radu C. Bogdan, rector al Universităţii Transilvania din Braşov în perioada 1975-1979, ambasador al României în Japonia, director ştiinţific al Centrului de Mecanica Solidelor al Academiei Române.

Ca o recunoaştere a valorii ştiinţifice a Şcolii româneşti de Mecanisme ai căror promotori sunt personalităţile menţionate anterior, IFToMM a inclus la nivelul conducerii sale cadre didactice din cadrul Catedrei de Teoria Mecanismelor şi a Maşinilor, precum şi colegi din universitatea noastră sau alte universităţi şi a atribuit Catedrei T.M.R organizarea simpozionului internaţional IFToMM – SYROM.

Cercetarea fundamentală şi aplicativă în domeniul ştiinţei mecanismelor şi a roboticii a fost promovată la nivel internaţional prin Simpozioanele Internaţionale IFToMM, SYROM care s-au desfăşurat cu următoarele ediţii: SYROM’73, SYROM’77, SYROM’81, SYROM’85, SYROM’89, SYROM’93, SYROM’97, SYROM’01 şi SYROM’05.

Prof.dr.doc. Christian PELECUDI, personalitate ştiinţifică recunoscută la nivel internaţional a fundamentat educaţia academică în domeniul Roboticii în România fiind apreciat în acest sens de întreaga comunitate academică de specialiate. Ca fondator al Roboticii în ţara noastră a proiectat planurile de învăţământ, a iniţiat cursuri în domeniu, a promovat activitatea de cercetarea ştiinţifică, inclusiv prin contracte de specialitate fiind creatorul primului colectiv de cercetare-proiectare din Robotică intitulat MEROTEHNICA şi iniţiatorul primului seminar ştiinţific de Roboţi Industriali la nivel naţional şi al Simpozioanelor Naţionale şi Internaţionale de Roboţi Industriali, care a avut prima ediţie în 1981.

Cadrele didactice din catedră au participat şi sunt incluse în Comitetul Executiv, Comisiile şi Comitetele de specialitate ale Federaţiei Internaţionale pentru Promovarea Ştiinţei Mecanismelor şi a Maşinilor- IFToMM, unele dintre acestea ocupând poziţii de conducere în cadrul IFToMM.
